2022 New Releases!

With each new year comes new Breyer releases, and we're excited to share our new additions to the regular line for 2022! We have some great new portrait models, the third release in the Ideal Series, inspired by the art of Orren Mixer, and a special set inspired by the 75th anniversary of one of the most iconic equine novels of all time. Here's what you can look forward to adding to your collection in early 2022!

Traditional

The Ideal Series continues with the Ideal Series - Palomino (#1836!) This series is inspired by the art of Western artist Orren Mixer and his famed "Ideal" horse paintings. The painting that inspired this model was commissioned by the Palomino Horse Breeders of America in 1991 for their 50th anniversary.

In 2004, MorganQuest Native Sun (#1856) became the Snaffle Bit/Hackamore Reining World Champion at his first Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show! He's since garnered many more championships in the world of reining since then. In 2014, his first offspring to enter the show ring won the same title as their sire ten years earlier!

Nistar Blazing Kansas LOM & GTF Blazing Ethel (#1857) are a Welsh Pony mare and foal set that are sure to delight. Depicted in this set as a young foal, "Kansas" is now a stallion with accolades including being named the 2019 Welsh Pony & Cob Society of America's "Welsh of the Year." His dam, Ethel, also shares her foal's black-with-chrome coloring and was a champion driving pony in her own right.

Sjoerd (#1859) is a champion Friesian stallion, and is also the only Friesian to be named United States Equestrian Federation's "Horse of the Year." He's taken home a world champion title in every discipline he's competed in, all while being shown by youths and amateurs! Upon his retirement in 2015, Sjoerd had a total of 74 world champion titles and 130 regional champion titles.

Adamek (#1861) is an Akhal-Teke stallion that perfectly exemplifies this ancient breed from Turkmenistan. A great-grandson of Olympic Dressage gold medalist Absent, Adamek was bred by Shenandoah Farm, whose late owners Phil and Margot Case were the first to import the breed to the United States. Currently competing in 4th level Dressage and training level Eventing, Adamek has plenty of the versatility and athleticism this breed is known for.

The Phantom & Misty (#1863) is a sweet mare and foal set that celebrates the 75th anniversary of Marguerite Henry's iconic children's novel, Misty of Chincoteague. This set features Misty as a young foal with her real-life dam, a black pinto pony named The Phantom! 

Holiday & Limited Edition

26th in the series, our 2022 Holiday Horse is Snowbird (#700125)! Blue and gold accents on his attire pop against his pearly grey coat. From his eye-catching headdress - adorned with feathers and rhinestones - to his dramatic breastcollar and breeching, he’s a fine sight to behold! Add on a spray of evergreens and wintry flowers, and Snowbird is a splendid holiday sight.

This Halloween season, prepare for the arrival of Maelstrom (#1864). His wild pinto coat is covered in skeletal pirates and a haunting pirate ship. Like the churning sea in a storm, his coat color appears to shift with the light - and when the stormy clouds cover the moon, behold! All of his ghastly white markings glow in the dark.

Next spring, you'll be able to find our 2022 Flagship Horse, Romeo (#760249) at your local participating Breyer Flagship Retailer! This silver bay Australian Stock Horse features three socks and a star. Check out our Store Locator to find your nearest Breyer retailer.

Freedom Series

Cora, Mermaid of the Sea (#62063) is our latest addition to the Freedom Series decorator collection. When she ventures to shore to walk along the sandy beach, her true nature remains a part of her in the form of detailed mermaid scales that blanket her back.

Keep the Peace (#62067) will be a colorful addition to your unicorn collection! He is decorated in a rainbow of colors that resemble tie-dye, complimented by golden accents and a large peace sign on his right hip.
