Practice your etching skills as Callie Guyer from Flying Horse Studios walks you through on how to etch fun constellation and star patterns on your Stablemates! From Leo to Lyra, there are dozens of fun constellations that will inspire you for this workshop. Pick your favorite and get ready to etch!
Born and raised in Arizona, Callie Guyer first discovered the world of Breyer when she received a model as a gift around the age of 12. After graduating from her “carpet herd” to a more established collection, Callie discovered customizing, which was a perfect way to combine her love for both art and horses. Her days on Breyer YouTube, where she filmed short films with her models, were a contributing factor to what she currently studies in college: filmmaking! Outside of the hobby, Callie enjoys nature-related hobbies, filmmaking, writing, and of course spending time with horses!

Tag along with Missy Shaw as she teaches participants how to paint a galaxy-inspired Stablemates model! Learn different techniques and play with fun color pigments to create the beautiful mixing of colors seen in various galaxies.
A horse-crazy gal since toddlerhood, Missy Shaw started collecting Breyers on Christmas morning 1992 when her grandparents gifted her a Classics-scale family set. She attended her first BreyerFest a few years later in 1997 and again in 1999. Live showing was next, and quickly became her favorite aspect of the hobby. She loved the camaraderie competition and spending time with others who loved horses as much as she did. Missy picked up brushes and pan pastels a few years ago, and now customizing has become another passion. Her work has won awards in both photo and live shows, and she joined the BreyerFest Artisans Gallery roster in 2022. Outside of model horse collecting and creating equine art, Missy has two awesome kids, a small zoo of critters including three different species of reptiles, and a bachelor’s degree in fine arts/western art history from the University of Oregon. She works in an administrative support role at the local hospital.
