BreyerFest 2020 - Meet your Celebration Horse!
We are diving right in to the BreyerFest 2020 reveals with our first look at next year's Celebration Horse!
Meet BreyerFest 2020 Celtic Fling's Celebration Horse, Ballynoe Castle RM, affectionately known in the barn as "Reggie!"
A 2000 Irish Sport Horse, Reggie is best known for becoming the United States Eventing Association’s (USEA) Highest-Scoring Horse of all time in 2014. His record still stands at over 1,600 points. This three-day eventer is a rockstar of the horse world, competing in dressage, cross-country, and stadium jumping in front of huge crowds.
For the first time ever, Susan Carlton Sifton's Show Jumping Warmblood, mold #579, will be used as the BreyerFest Celebration Horse. Done in a beautifully-shaded bay, with one white sock and a small star, this model captures the athleticism of this handsome horse.
Reggie and rider/trainer Buck Davidson enjoyed a long career, which included six CCI4* competitions, a strong CIC3* record that included winning the CCI3* at Jersey Fresh, being named the 2013 Rolex 4* National Champion, and representing the USA at the 2010 and 2014 World Equestrian Games. Reggie also won USEA’s Horse of the Year award in 2011 and was the Best Conditioned Horse at Rolex in 2014. (Fun fact: Buck is the son of Bruce Davidson, who was the rider of the very first BreyerFest Celebration Horse, Dr. Peaches!)
Retired in top shape at the 2017 Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, Reggie now enjoys life on the New Jersey farm of his owners, Carl and Cassie Segal. Recently, Jaime and Kat (your BreyerFest Events Team) had the chance to visit this farm to meet Reggie, and they can’t wait to share him with you next July at the Kentucky Horse Park!
