A Vintage Collector Club Exclusive!
Inspired by the work of noted Western Artist C.M. Russell, Chris Hess’s beloved Indian Pony (mold #175) has certainly come in her share of painterly hues since her debut in 1970. The more decorative colors of Breyer’s past, however, have largely passed her by.
That’s partly because the 1970s were a transitional time for Breyer: the less realistic colors of the past were slowly being phased out in favor of more naturalistic ones. Woodgrain lasted longer than most, remaining in production on the Fighting Stallion through 1973.
In a follow up to her 2014 Glossy Dapple Black release, Isabelle, the Indian Pony makes a return appearance as Woodstock, in a beautiful dark variation of Woodgrain. She comes with a Stablemates mini-me!
