2021 Spring Coloring Contest Winners!
Spring is foaling season in the equine world, so what better image to use in our Spring 2021 Coloring Contest than a wild mare and her curious foal? With almost 600 entries total, judging this contest was no small feat!
For this contest, we had three age categories: 10 and under, 11-16, and 17 and older. Participants used traditional art mediums such as colored pencils, crayons, pastels, and paints to create their unique entries. Each of our three winners will receive an Encore and Tor Gift Set as their prize!
The results are as follows:
10 and under winner
Saira H., MN
Saira's entry is filled with texture as her chestnut mare and palomino foal take in the sights of their valley. The river and colorful horizon both complement this entry well. Bravo!
11-16 winner
Madelyn N., IL
Madelyn's use of shading really brought her entry featuring Encore and Tor to life. The muted color palette really makes them pop against the background! The eagle flying in the distance is also a nice touch. Congratulations!
17 and older winner
Sierrah L., MD
We were stunned by the smooth colors and soft but dynamic shading in Sierrah's entry. We just want to reach out and pet this beautiful mare and foal, and breathe in that crisp mountain air! Stunning work!
