Exclusively for Breyer Collector Club members! Breyer test run models are initial decos painted up to see how a particular color might look on a particular sculpture. Or, they may be created to test out a painting technique or new colorway. Not all test run models are used, and they may vary over time as different painting techniques are developed and tested. Each model has a fixed price and interested members enter a random draw for the ability to purchase the test piece.
In 2014, a few different colorways were created to find a deco for Hope, the 2015 Breyer model that benefited several Autism charities. This lovely c version was a bit too complex for regular production and just this single pretty test piece was made! She sports a pearl base and a metallic palomino coat with multi-colored puzzle pieces as her “spots.” While there is a rough spot here or there, she is in excellent condition overall. See gallery of photos for details. Model contains U.S.A. designation by the Breyer mold mark on the inside hind leg. She is priced at $850 and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
