Erin Corbett took over the management of BreyerWest in 2016 and, after eight successful years of hosting the event and building it into an incredible destination experience (including the transition to a virtual experience in 2021), we are saddened to have to bid her farewell – but we are excited to welcome new manager, Heather Malone!
Heather is a long-time hobbyist, collector, show holder, judge, avid shower and is one half of the Mares in Black podcast, along with Jackie Rossi. Her day job is in aerospace communication, specifically publications and art direction and yes, there are model horses in her office.
She got her first Breyer at 4 years old and there is not a time in her life that she does not remember loving horses. She rode and showed real horses most of her young adult life, but model horses have always been an important part of her horse girl journey and she loves the community with her heart and soul.
Her true love in the hobby is organizing events. She loves holding shows, having parties, making people happy, and showing them a good time. She held her first show in 2003, Smoky Mountain Spring in Waynesville, NC, and it was a 10 division, two-day extravaganza. She has been hooked ever since. She is also responsible for Rocky Mountain Spring Fling, Candyland Live, Eerie Equine, and most recently she and Jackie started Resin Renaissance at BreyerFest.
We are excited to be working with Heather to bring BreyerWest to life for fans and look forward to welcoming you all in Denver, March 15-17, 2024.
