Guest Artist!

Our final BreyerMidwest guest artist announcement is the awesome Cynthia Wyatt-Briley!  Joining us from North Carolina, where she lives with her dog Bleu, cat CJ, and husband Greg, Cynthia says that since she first laid eyes on a horse, she was the typical horse crazy girl.  Though she wasn’t able to have real horses when she was younger, her life was always filled with Breyer models!

As well, art was also a big part of her life and she started drawing and painting at a very early age. Cynthia was accepted into the N.C. School of the Arts at 16!  Over the years, she says she got away from art and horses, but thankfully found her way back in her late twenties. She started riding again and rediscovered Breyer models!

Cynthia says that all of the credit goes to her mom for this.  After finding a box of carefully packed childhood Breyers, she decided to see if people were still collecting them. She stumbled across some customized Breyers online and was instantly smitten! She began painting and showing, and the rest, as they say, is history! Most of her free time is spent painting or judging at shows and she says she’s met some of the best people through the model horse hobby!

Her additional obsessions include hiking and backpacking, as well as fossil hunting with the East Coast Fossil Club, and she’s currently 1,000 miles in on the Appalachian Trail!

Cynthia is looking forward to meeting Breyer fans all day on Saturday, March 22, where she will be working on a project in real time for fans to observe at our Artist tables.  Bring your questions and enthusiasm!
