We are thrilled to announce this reveal!

Say hello to the THIRD Store Special for this year’s Celtic Fling – W.H. Topgun!

Ireland’s only native breed, the Connemara Pony was developed from hardy stock that had to not only survive, but thrive in Western Ireland’s harsh terrain. These intelligent ponies are compact without bulk, have a long stride for their height, and a natural jumping ability that has earned them a place in hunter, jumper, and eventing competitions.

One such example is the 2004 Connemara stallion, W.H. Topgun. A striking buckskin, he competed in eventing at the Preliminary level with his then-trainer Elliott Blackmon in the saddle for owners Jim & Nancy Kilcrease. Currently focusing on dressage, Topgun is also siring future athletes and passing along his friendly disposition and work ethic to the next generation.

In addition to being the American Connemara Pony Society’s (ACPS) Region IV Champion several times, Topgun has also been the ACPS Purebred Connemara of the Year, and received the US Equestrian Federation’s Horse of the Year Award in the Eventing Connemara division!

We are thrilled to have this amazing horse join the line-up for this year’s exclusive Celtic Fling portrait models as one of our Store Specials.

Keep your eyes on the BreyerFest Blog because there is still so much more coming your way!

Love the mold! Always wanted a jumper! Love the model too, though. Must have for this year! How many store specials will there be this year? There was only 3 last year 🙁.

This one is my favorite so far!

Briana P. - April 23, 2020

Not really a fan of this one. He’s pretty plain in my personal opinion.

Molly Frey - April 23, 2020

I have one of his offspring 2yo this year… I must get one of these!!!

What an amazing pony! This is a beautiful portrait model and I hope I can get one:)

Eowyn - April 23, 2020

Love this one, especially with the non-eyewhites.

I love this model and this is such a sweet horse to model a store special on. However, you might want to edit that second line! The Connemara certainly isn’t the only native Irish breed, we also have the Kerry Bog Pony and the Irish Draught, and if you stretch the definition of “breed” to studbooks, there’s also the Irish Hunter and the Irish Sport Horse! :)
