Volunteering at BreyerFest

Volunteering - BreyerFest 2025

BreyerFest wouldn’t be possible without the help of our amazing crew of volunteers!

For our 2025 in-person event, we are looking for adults 18 years old or older to assist in a variety of areas, from assisting guests at the Help Desks to working in the Craft & Activity Tent.  Prior BreyerFest experience is preferred so that the volunteer has familiarity with the ins and outs of the event and the location(s) of the various activities.

BreyerFest is currently seeking volunteers for the following areas:

  • Hobby Information Experts (New!):  Located within the Breyer Experience on the concourse of the Covered Arena, our Hobby Experts will be on hand to walk guests through iconic areas of Breyer history.  From the famous “painting stages” to iconic models from Breyer’s lineup, volunteers in this area should possess a wealth of Hobby knowledge and be eager to engage with guests.
  • Hands-on Hobby Tent:  Now located adjacent to the Craft and Activity Tent, this newly expanded Hands-on Hobby Tent has so much to offer fans interested in learning more about the model horse hobby!  Volunteers will be asked to demonstrate something hobby-related of their choosing using their own supplies, like tack making, customizing, air brushing, or etching.  You will also be asked to provide a handout relating to your demonstration to be available to visitors at the booth.
  • Mini Mock Model Horse Show: Located in the Hands-on Hobby Tent, volunteers in this area should be knowledgeable in many areas of model horse showing, judging and stewarding.  Guests are encouraged to enter models into the mini mock show classes to learn more about this fascinating aspect of the hobby.
  • Craft and Activity tent: Volunteers will work with children and adults in the Craft and Activity tent at the Horse Park and assist with various craft projects, including Stablemate painting.
  • Swap Meet/Artisan’s Gallery: Volunteers will be positioned in various locations in the Clarion Hotel and will ensure that the people waiting in line to enter the Swap Meet and Artisan’s Gallery are kept in an orderly fashion.  Please note that these activities are now only taking place on Friday and Saturday nights.
  • BreyerFest Docents: Volunteers will be stationed at various areas around the park, as well as at the BreyerFest shuttle stops.  A portion of these volunteers will be stationed at one of the five Help Desks around the park to assist guests with lost and found items, answer general Breyer and BreyerFest questions, provide directions to event locations, and handle or delegate other requests as they occur.  BreyerFest shuttle stop volunteers will ensure guests are ticketed and are boarding the correct buses.  A third segment of volunteers will be assigned to several areas within the park as greeters, answering guest questions as needed .  Applicants must have prior BreyerFest experience, be people-friendly, and have good knowledge about BreyerFest operations such as shows, workshops, etc.
  • Workshop/Seminar Assistant: Volunteers will be stationed at the Alltech for workshops or at the VIC where seminars are held.   Each volunteer will assist the instructor or speaker with various tasks including set-up, break down and clean up, and perform other duties as asked.   Please note that we’ve added a number of workshops taking place on Thursday, July 10th, as well as during regular BreyerFest hours over the weekend.

Volunteers are crucial to the success of BreyerFest and we appreciate all the help and support you give us. Thanks for applying and for being willing to help make BreyerFest: Cheers to 75 Years! a memorable event for everyone!
