Sloths are arboreal mammals known for their extreme slowness of movement. Sloths have a very low metabolism, attributed to their diet which consists mainly of leaves. For most of the lives, sloths are found hanging upside down in the trees. They are native to the tropical rainforests of South America and Central America.
