Candy Apple Stablemates: Video Tutorial
Turn your Breyer Stablemates model into a scrumptious fall treat! In this workshop with artist Josie Holland, we take a Breyer Stablemates model and use simple craft supplies to make it into the perfect DIY candy apple horse decoration. The below supply list has everything you need to create a variety of flavors and toppings for your model!
This is a replay of a live workshop held as part of 2022 Breyer's National Fun Day.
Recommended Supply List:
- Stablemates model (pre-painted - either your own custom work or straight out of the package)
- Acrylic paint, in colors:
- Red
- Blue
- Yellow
- Black
- Brown
- White
- Metallic blue (optional)
- Metallic red (optional)
- Metallic gold (optional)
- Twine
- Lollipop sticks
- Polymer clay - one tan 2 oz. block
- Mod Podge, gloss
- Matte sealer
- Hobby knife
- Paintbrushes
- Glue (ex. Loctite super glue)
