Well, it says there were 6000 Surprise models made. with about 10,000 All Access & VIP tickets available.. so it is possible that just because you put down a Surprise model as 1 of your top 2 on the preference list, you may not get one, depending on your ticket “spot”….. But not everyone will put in for a Surprise model, especially with all the other great models available this year..

My guess is there’s gonna be 3 sets of identical models, with half glossy/half matte in the run, and a 4th ‘surprise’ version that doesn’t match the others. but honestly who knows? I just wish I knew if these were going to be decorator or realistic colors, really LOL

Okay so if you are one of those people who thinks it will be one of the molds from last years auction I think it will be Bluegrass Bandit . If it is not based off of the live auction models then I think it will be Desatado

I really hope that the mold is Make a Wish, Desatado, Gypsy Vanner, Huck Bey, Othello, Silver or the Spirit mold. Those are my top picks for a mold for the surprise model. I will say, though, that NEVER have I seen a line up of model horses for Breyerfest that I have wanted majority of them for my collection. So here’s to working overtime in the 1st part of the year to fund my model horse collection, as I will have to buy some of these 2nd hand, as there is a limit to how many we can buy with one ticket!!!!! I’m very impressed and excited this year.

Candace, the Surprise model is a Special run, so it is/can be one of your two choices. Only All Access and VIPs have access to them. The surprise is revealed when the model reaches your house, (Or when you see a post of it on social media from another collector who got theirs before you got yours). At in person BF, you usually know the mold prior to purchase, but this is not Breyer’s choice. I’m new to this. Is the surprise model one of the ‘special run’ models? So.. if you’re VIP (or All Access) it can be one of your two choices? Or is it a ‘limited edition’ and any ticket holder could potentially get one? Is the surprise not revealed until it shows up at your house? or is the surprise revealed during the fest and before purchase..??

I’m gonna say Idocus, but possibly an Arabian. I don’t think Dundee because we have Peptoboonsmal and there was Carter and Duwamish last year. It would be a bit of an overload to see a surprise horse come our on him so soon. :)
