Were you able to figure out our clue from last week?
The old Germanic heroic poem, Hildebrandslied, tells the fatal story about a duel between father and son. Hildebrand is an elder warrior, a magician, and a weapons master who is forced into a duel with Hadubrand, a son who doesn’t know of their relations, and eventually triumphs over his challenger.
As a nod to this fierce warrior, this year's Open Model Horse Show Overall Grand Champions will each get to take home their own Hildebrand, a handsome sooty palomino done on Silver (mold #574), sculpted by Kathleen Moody.
