Meet our 2023 Celebration Horse!

Meet our 2023 Celebration Horse!

The Celebration Horse for 2023’s BreyerFest: Driving Forward is a true leader and the perfect combination of beauty and intelligence, with just enough fiery temperament to make him a standout driving horse!

The triathlon of the driving world, Combined Driving tests the control, agility, obedience, and endurance of horses and drivers over three phases of competition: Dressage, Marathon, and Cones. International driver Misdee Wrigley Miller ended up finding the perfect addition to her four-in-hand team in Bravour 54

The handsome bay KWPN gelding, known for his stylish movement and fiery, bold temperament, came to Misdee in 2017. Though Misdee wanted to bring Bravour back to basics and get to know him before having him join one of her teams, fate had other plans when one of Misdee’s horses unexpectedly passed away before the 2018 World Equestrian Games.

Bravour was then put to the test and on the fast track preparing for the games. Rising to the occasion, the quirky and talented horse proved to be a steady leader in all three phases, especially shining in Dressage. At the end of the day Bravour helped the United States win its first Gold Medal in the sport, and helped Misdee become the first woman to win Gold in Combined Driving at the World Equestrian Games! Bravour 54 has truly earned the title as Misdee’s “Golden Boy!”

Bravour 54, the talented international Combined Driving superstar, is presented on the Trakehner coincidentally, mold #54! Fans will get to meet Gold Medalists Bravour 54 and Misdee Wrigley Miller, and see them both in action, next summer at BreyerFest!

Love Bravour 54 as the Celebration Horse choice! He’s elegant and classy. Excellent choice!

But that said, I have to admit I’m disappointed another mold wasn’t selected to represent him or that this wasn’t used as an opportunity to update the old Trakehner mold. It has potential, especially in the fuller tail version, but needs an overall smoothing out and the old style bug eyes and clunky head and head position are not a plus. Sorry, to be negative but I’m very underwhelmed. I don’t feel this is a fitting tribute to such a beautiful and athletic horse. This Celebration model selection is just not in the same league as Ballynoe Castle or Nikolas.

I am so excited for this! Bravour 54 is an absolutely gorgeous horse and I have found an absolute love for the Trakhner mold with the newest release on it in the recent past. I cannot wait to learn more!

Lilly - November 1, 2022

I love the horse, he’s simply gorgeous! On the other hand, the mold, I’m not as much of a fan of.

I am very excited for BreyerFest 2023. And while I am sure Bravour is a truly phenomenal horse, I am a smidge disappointed in the mold chosen. It is very reminiscent of the Celebration model from 2022, and in fact for a second I actually thought it was the same mold!

The Trakehner is one of my all time favorite molds!! I am so very excited to see him as the Celebration Horse! (Don’t change it please!!!)

Tracey Stewart - November 1, 2022

One of my favorite classic molds! Can’t wait!

Kara James - November 1, 2022

I am so excited for 2023 Breyerfest. Bravour 54 is absolutely stunning and his model is on one of the cutest molds!! I cannot wait

Harley Robson - November 1, 2022

Love Bravour 54, the mold choice however, not as much of a fan of. Perhaps an action type pose? Horse and Owner absolutely deserve their place at breyerfest as the celebration horse and I am happy that they were chosen.

Robin - November 1, 2022

He’s gorgeous! Can’t wait to see what else is in store for next year.

Aimee S. - November 1, 2022

Bravour is so graceful and beautiful! I can’t wait to see him in action at Breyerfest!
