These horses and their friends have made memories that will last a lifetime!
While today’s Limited Edition may not be jumping (for joy) like yesterday’s reveal, this sweet guy will pull his weight to get a spot in your herd. As a reminder, Limited Edition models are available to all ticket holders, whether you’re joining us in-person or online.
Draft horses have played a big part in history, helping farmers with agriculture, being used for transportation and the logging industry, for pleasure riding, competition in draft shows, and more. These gentle giants also have been a staple throughout Breyer history as well. Starting with mold #80 sculpted by Chris Hess, the Clydesdale Stallion made his appearance in the Breyer line as the first draft horse.
Over the years, other draft breeds such as the Belgian (#92), Percheron Mare (#573), and the Shire Gelding (#744) found their places in the Breyer line. Representing a wide variety of horses, Breyer’s draft breeds have immortalized many icons over the years, from draft show champions like Clydesdales Benelli and SBH Phoenix, to beautiful breed representatives such as the Ardennes stallion (and 2015 BreyerFest Celebration Horse) Simba du Pont de Tournay and the Kentucky Horse Park Police’s Drum Horse, Hytyme Legend.
Since not all parties need to be big to be fun, we are thrilled to introduce our next Limited Edition model, Shindig! This adorable Stablemates model has been created on the Giorgio mold (#5756), a miniature version of the Traditional scale Rhenish German Draft sculpted by Brigitte Eberl. He is done in a handsome shaded grey sabino.
This Stablemates scale model will be a part of our Limited Edition offerings, but will only be available for guests to purchase online BreyerFest weekend. This model is available for all ticket holders to purchase, but will not be one of the options offered to VIP ticket buyers for pre-purchase. He is only available online in the BreyerFest Store during BreyerFest weekend.
We will see you right back here on the BreyerFest Blog tomorrow for another cute reveal!
